‘Game Of Thrones’ star Emilia Clarke says she cried when ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ ended

"I fucking love that show"

Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has revealed that she cried when The Handmaid’s Tale ended because she “couldn’t handle not seeing it”.

The critically acclaimed series – based on Margaret Atwood’s classic novel – was premiered in April on Hulu and has been renewed for a second season.

Clarke – who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO show – expressed her love for the series in a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar when she discussed the amount of nudity and sex in Thrones.

“I’m starting to get really annoyed about this stuff now because people say, ‘Oh, yeah, all the porn sites went down when Game of Thrones came back on.’ I’m like, ‘The Handmaid’s Tale?’ I fucking love that show, and I cried when it ended because I couldn’t handle not seeing it.”

“That is all sex and nudity. There are so many shows centered around this very true fact that people reproduce,” she added. “People fuck for pleasure—it’s part of life.”

Production for the second season of The Handmaid’s Tale began in September, and Hulu have confirmed that the show will return in April 2018. It’s been announced that the new episodes will be shown on Channel 4 in the UK.
