Was ‘Game Of Thrones’ Tyrion’s identity revealed in a Doritos advert?

Fans are speculating that there's a hidden meaning to the commercial

Fans are speculating that Game Of Thrones character Tyrion Lannister’s “real” identity has been revealed in a new Doritos advert.

Peter Dinklage, the actor who plays the character in the hit TV show, appeared in a Super Bowl commercial for the crisps brand alongside Morgan Freeman.

In the ad, which sees Dinklage lipsyncing to Busta Rhymes‘ ‘Look At Me Now’, the star breathes fire, leading fans to believe that could be a subtle hint that Tyrion is actually a Targaryen.

Game Of Thrones viewers have speculated about the character’s real lineage for a while, with several theories seemingly suggesting he is part of Daenerys’ family.

Meanwhile, Dinklage recently said “it’s time” for the long-running show to end, before it “jumps the shark”. The HBO series has already been confirmed to conclude with its eighth season, which will be broadcast next year.

Speaking to Variety, Dinklage said: “This is the final season, so it’s pretty long – it’s a long one. We’re really taking our time with this one. It’s bittersweet. It’s time to move on with everything, so it’s the sad part of our business – we get pockets of great people for short amounts of time, and then you have to move on and it’s always heartbreaking, especially when you’ve spent more than a couple of months with people.”
