‘Gilmore Girls’ Netflix revival gets official title

The show will return for four 90-minute episodes 'soon'

The upcoming Gilmore Girls revival has been given an official title ahead of the cult US show’s new mini-season on Netflix.

The show will return for four 90-minute episodes on the streaming service. Gilmore Girls ended in 2007 after seven seasons. Both lead actresses Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel confirmed to return for the new episodes and reprise their roles as mother and daughter duo Lorelai and Rory.

Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday (May 19), Graham announced that the new season will go by the name Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life

“It’s been the most incredible experience; I cry trying to talk about it,” Graham told DeGeneres. “I feel so lucky to get to do it.” Watch the full interview below.

Original cast members Melissa McCarthy, Scott Paterson, Kelly Bishop, Sean Gunn and Keiko Agena have previously been confirmed to be part of the show’s revival. Sebastian Bach will also return as a member of Lane Kim’s band Hep Alien.
