Series four will follow Rachel and Kurt's adventures in New York
Glee creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed that series four of the show will partly take place in New York.
The next run of the hit musical comedy will see big changes, with several of the characters having graduated from McKinley High in this week’s series three finale. Murphy had already confirmed that all of the central cast would be returning in some form.
It has now been confirmed that Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) will stay in the show, with the story following them as they follow their musical dreams in New York.
Murphy told TV Line: “We’re coming to New York. That was one of the fun reasons to do [the storyline]. Nothing is in stone, because we’re still budgeting, but I would love to come once every five weeks and shoot a lot of scenes there. We are 100 per cent doing that – we’re not going to do it all on a soundstage.”
Of the decision to retain all of the regular cast, he has said recently: “It doesn’t mean everyone will be doing 22 episodes, but everyone wants to stay in our family and our world. I wanted to make sure those actors know that if they want to have a home, they have a home.”
Glee‘s graduation-themed series three finale airs in the UK tomorrow (May 24) on Sky1.
