As of this Autumn, beginning with series three, the US hit show Glee will only be available to Sky customers in the UK.
Series one of the musical comedy-drama show had previously aired on E4 and Channel 4, beginning its run on January 12 2010 with figures of 1.14m.
The second series, premiering a year later on January 10 this year, increased its viewing figures to 1.61m.
Earlier this year Sky made a successful move to acquire all of HBO‘s output, including new shows Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones as well as their back catalogue of hits such as The Sopranos and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Sky also bought the rights to air Mad Men this year, rights which were previously held by the BBC.
As well as taking Glee away from terrestrial television, Sky1 will also be showing The Glee Project, a ten-part reality talent show created by Glee‘s makers Ryan Murphy and Dante Di Loreto.
Robert Ulrich, Glee‘s casting director will present the show as well as acting as a judge.
The first prize for the winner will be a guest role for several episodes of the new series.
The second series finale of Glee airs tonight (June 13) on E4.
