‘James Corden’s Late Late Show’ will be on British TV from mid-July
James Corden’s US chatshow James Corden’s Late Late Show will officially be shown in the UK from mid-July on Sky.
Each episode will be shown on Sky On Demand the day after its screening in the US.
The show started on the CBS network in 2014 and has seen its Carpool Karaoke slot become a viral success. The Late Late Show YouTube channel has had 1.4 billion views, with Adele’s performance alone being seen 110m times.
Sky Content managing director Gary Davey said: “The Late Late Show has become a global cultural phenomenon, and the UK audience has delighted in James’ runaway stateside success. There is a huge appetite from UK fans to enjoy the antics of The Late Late Show firsthand, and we are thrilled to exclusively bring the show direct to our customers.”
Other musicians to appear on Carpool Karaoke include Stevie Wonder, Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Justin Bieber.
Michelle Obama has also agreed to appear on a future episode.
Corden has a long relationship with Sky, having hosted Sky One sports quiz A League Of Their Own on the channel since 2010. The actor also provides a voice for new DreamWorks cartoon Trolls with Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick.
