Seven-minute sketch riffs on the Nickelodeon duo's 1997 comedy film 'Good Burger'
Classic Nickelodeon stars Kenan & Kel reunited for a special Good Burger sketch on yesterday’s episode of The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
The seven-minute sketch riffed on the duo’s popular 1997 comedy film Good Burger, which was itself based on a sketch from Nickelodeon’s long-running comedy series All That.
Fallon, who co-starred as Kel’s Good Burger co-worker, introduced the sketch by saying: “I love hosting this show. It’s the best job I’ve ever had. But I do have a soft spot for my first job, back in the ’90s when I worked for a local fast-food restaurant. In fact, I remember it like it was yesterday…”
Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell served as All That cast members from 1994 to 1999 and also starred in their own Kenan & Kel sitcom from 1996 to 2000.
Earlier this year Mitchell had teased the possibility of a Kenan & Kel reunion, telling Digital Spy in July: “I’m into [that idea]. That’d be cool, man. You just gotta get Kenan into it, see if he’d be into it. That’d be a lot of fun.”
