Two of last year’s Love Island stars just got married on Good Morning Britain

All of this is true

Two of the stars of last year’s Love Island cemented their relationship today by getting ‘married’ live on Good Morning Britain.

Jess Shears and Dom Leaver, one of the few couples to have survived life after the show, wore white swimwear to walk down the improvised venue on the GMB set.

Entertainment Editor Richard Arnold emceed the ceremony, whilst Jeremy Kyle, Kate Garraway, and Charlotte Hawkins watched proceedings.

The vows included several references to the show, including Jess reciting the lines: “I will not pie you off, even if Muggy Mike comes along.”

Celebs Go Dating’s Nadia Essex threw confetti over the pair.

This is the couple’s first Valentine’s Day together after they met filming the show last summer.

Jess and Dom confirmed their engagement in September, after the TV Choice Awards.

Viewers have expressed a degree of scepticism towards the pair and their ITV marriage.

Jess has hit back at the negativity, writing on Twitter they need to “learn to take a joke”:

Meanwhile, more than 60,000 people have signed up to the 2018 edition of Love Island, with the hopes that they too can find their one true type on paper.

Breakout stars Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay have had success in the music world following their departure from the show, collaborating with Stormzy at V Festival and releasing their debut single, ‘Little Bit Leave It’ in October.
