Superman actor teams up with Elmo to teach kids the meaning of the word 'respect'
Man Of Steel star Henry Cavill has made a guest appearance on long-running US kids’ show Sesame Street.
The Superman actor teamed up with Elmo to teach viewers the meaning of the word “respect”. According to Cavill, “respect means treating someone in a way that feels cared for and important”. Watch his Sesame Street cameo below.
Earlier this month (September) Cavill began filming Guy Ritchie‘s The Man From UNCLE movie in the UK alongside Armie Hammer, Hugh Grant, Jared Harris and Alicia Vikander. He replaced Tom Cruise in Ritchie’s big screen adaptation of the classic 1960s TV series after Cruise dropped out because shooting clashed with Mission: Impossible 5.
Cavill will then start work on the sequel to Man Of Steel in Michigan earlier next year. He will be joined by Ben Affleck as Batman in the film, which has been dubbed “Batman v Superman” after director Zack Snyder dropped a strong hint that the two superheroes will not get along.
Sesame Street has become known for its high-profile guest stars over the years and in addition to Cavill Anna Kendrick, Peter Dinklage and Usher have all made cameos this season.
