The network is accepting applications for the British remake now
MTV is making a UK version of its hit US reality series Teen Mom.
The original US series, actually a spin-off from another MTV reality show 16 And Pregnant, ran for six seasons from 2009 to 2012 before being revived last year as Teen Mom OG. It follows the lives of four women, Farrah Abraham, Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood, as they adjust to becoming mothers at a young age.
Now the network is looking for UK-based teenage mothers to appear on its British spin-off. A post on MTV’s website says: “We’ve followed Farrah, Amber, Catelynn and Maci on their dramatic Teen Mom journeys as they’ve dealt with the highs and lows of having babies. But what’s it REALLY like to be a teen mum in 2016? We want you to tell us!”
Those interested in appearing on Teen Mom UK can apply via MTV’s website now. The network has yet to announce when the British version will air or how many episodes it will feature.
One of MTV’s original Teen Mom stars, Farrah Abrahams, appeared on the UK version of Celebrity Big Brother last year, finishing in ninth place after becoming one of the most controversial housemates in recent memory.
