13-episode sitcom will launch on Netflix services worldwide on March 6
Netflix has released the first trailer for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, the new sitcom co-created by 30 Rock‘s Tina Fey.
The sitcom stars The Office‘s Ellie Kemper as a woman trying to start a new life life in New York City after spending 15 years living in a cult. Broadway actor Titus Burgess will co-star as her new roommate, while 30 Rock‘s Jane Krakowski will have a recurring role as her new boss.
The sitcom, co-created by Fey and 30 Rock showrunner Robert Carlock, was originally due to air on US network NBC, the home of 30 Rock, before Netflix acquired the exclusive rights back in December.
The 13-episode first season will launch on Netflix services worldwide on March 6, and the streaming service has already ordered a second season, too.
