‘People Just Do Nothing’ confirmed for fifth and final series

Award-winning mockumentary coming to an end

It has been announced that People Just Do Nothing will conclude with its upcoming fifth series.

The BAFTA-winning BBC mockumentary follows Kurupt FM, a crew of inept pirate radio DJs and garage MCs from Brentford. It first premiered in 2014.

Originally airing on BBC Three, the show will move to BBC Two for its final series. Although no premiere date has been confirmed, series five is said to be “coming soon”.

A press release states: “In series five, rough times are afoot for Kurupt FM, the West-London Pirate radio station crew the show focuses on. DJ Steves has been nicked, and all the station equipment has been seized by the Police. Can the crew find a new home to transmit from? Will The Lost Tape curators finally go global? The notorious Chabuddy G has an insatiable new girl and a full time job – but will he find time to be the mastermind manager the station needs?”

“The station isn’t the only thing under threat. After the excitement of the Wedding, Garage’s top power-couple Miche and Grindah were gutted by the news that the council have decided to knock down the Brentford blocks to make way for luxury flats. Where will this leave the family?”
