#SaveMarinaJoyce: YouTube vlogger ‘safe and well’ following fears over well-being

Fans claim Internet star whispered 'help me' in recent video

A YouTube star caused panic among fans overnight after a series of messages and videos sparked fears over her safety.

Fans of fashion vlogger Marina Joyce, 19 from north London, first raised alarm when they believed that they heard her whisper a plea of “help me” in a recent video. Some also alleged that it appeared that Joyce was being forced to film the video against her will.

After Joyce invited followers on Twitter to meet-up in Bethnal Green, east London at 6.30am on Wednesday (July 27), the hashtag #SaveMarinaJoyce went viral as fans raised concern over the star’s behaviour.

Fans also pointed to a previous YouTube video Joyce uploaded which showed a shotgun in the background.

As fans speculated, Vine star Daz Black attempted to offer reassurance, claiming to have “just spoken with Marina Joyce” and saying that “she is not in any danger”.

However, he later told fans to “stay well clear” of Joyce’s proposed meet-up and to “let police handle this”.

Enfield police have tweeted that that Joyce is “safe and well”, confirming that officers visited the star’s home after the reports.

Joyce herself has also told fans that she is “totally fine” and “feeling very good” today. She has also attempted to arrange another meet-up and a livestream.

Joyce has also attempted to confirm to fans that her recent messages have indeed been posted by herself. See below.
