Two of The Inbetweeners main cast are to star in the new comedy show, White Gold.

Joe Thomas and James Buckley, who played Simon and Jay respectively in the hit E4 comedy series, have reunited on the small screen for a new project that’s been put together by Inbetweeners co-creator Damon Beesley.

As Digital Spy reports, the new sitcom is set in an Essex double-glazing showroom in 1983, and sees Thomas and Buckley joined by Gossip Girl‘s Ed Westwick, who plays cocky salesman Vincent.

The new sitcom is set to air on BBC Two in 2017.

Since The Inbetweeners bowed out with its second film, The Inbetweeners 2, in 2014, its four stars have appeared in various projects. Thomas notably appeared in Fresh Meat and Chickens, while Buckley will star in another new sitcom, Zapped, which airs on Dave later this year.

The other two Inbetweeners, Simon Bird (Will) and Blake Harrison (Neil), have also enjoyed success since the show came to an end. Bird is currently starring in Channel 4 comedy Friday Night Dinner, while Harrison landed the role of Pike in the rebooted Dad’s Army film, which was released earlier this year.
