Sherilyn Fenn to return as Audrey Horne in ‘Twin Peaks’ revival

New series of cult drama expected in 2017

Sherilyn Fenn has reportedly agreed to signed up to appear in the new series of Twin Peaks.

Deadline reports that Fenn will reprise her role as Audrey Horne when the series returns in 2017. If confirmed, this would make her the second cast member to return after Kyle MacLachlan.

It is reported that Lara Flynn Boyle has opted against a return but that Miguel Ferrer will revive his role as FBI Agent Albert Rosenfield while David Patrick Kelly is said to be reprising his role as Jerry Horne. Meanwhile, Sheryl Lee has been photographed on the set as Laura Palmer.

Amanda Seyfried, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Robert Knepper and Balthazar Getty are all rumoured to have been cast as new characters alongside original cast members.

Director David Lynch and his Twin Peaks co-creator Mark Frost have penned one long script for the series, which Lynch will shoot as a continuous movie before editing it down into individual episodes.

Although Showtime originally commissioned nine new episodes of Twin Peaks, it is expected to run considerably longer. Lynch announced in April 2015 that he had pulled out of the revival series, but then announced the following month that he was back on board to direct the new episodes.
