‘Suicide Squad’ actor Joel Kinnaman joins ‘House Of Cards’ cast

He joins fellow new cast member Neve Campbell in season four

Joel Kinnaman will appear in the new season House Of Cards.

Netflix announced earlier today (February 2) that the Suicide Squad and RoboCop actor has joined the cast of its popular political drama. However, it has yet to reveal what role Kinnaman, also known for TV’s The Killing, will be playing in season four.

The fourth season of House Of Cards will debut on Netflix on March 4 – slightly later than the show’s usual launch date in February. As with previous seasons, all the new episodes will be released simultaneously, allowing fans to watch at their leisure.

Kevin Spacey’s Frank Underwood will once again be joined by Robin Wright as Frank’s equally scheming wife Claire, while Scream actress Neve Campbell has also joined the cast in a series regular role. Campbell’s character has yet to be revealed, but it is believed she will be playing a new rival to the Underwoods, potentially one half a younger Frank and Claire-style power couple.

Meanwhile, Netflix has already commissioned a fifth season of House Of Cards to launch in 2017.

Since premiering in 2013, House Of Cards has become one of Netflix’s most popular and critically acclaimed original series. Spacey and Wright have each won a Golden Globe award for their performances on the show, which is based on a 1990s BBC mini-series of the same name.
