The final term begins in first trailer for new ‘Fresh Meat’ – watch

Last ever series arrives on Channel 4 soon

The first trailer for the next, and final, series of Channel 4 comedy Fresh Meat has been revealed with the students busy revising for their exams.

Created by the duo behind Peep Show, Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain, Fresh Meat follows a motley crew of students at a fictional Manchester university who are forced to share a house together off-campus.

The upcoming series does not yet have a transmission date but will be the last one with cast members and writers moving on to new projects.

The show’s cast includes also includes Joe Thomas from The Inbetweeners and Call The Midwife‘s Charlotte Ritchie.

Series four will feature the first new episodes of Fresh Meat in more than two years. Series three aired in autumn 2013, following on from series one in 2011 and series two in 2012.

In 2014, Sam Bain revealed that he and Armstrong were “working on a couple of ideas” for a possible Fresh Meat film, with a representative for the production company behind the series adding: “Plans for a movie version of Fresh Meat are under discussion but they’re still at a very early stage.”
