First look at Charlie McDowell's Sundance mystery romance

The debut feature from author turned director Charlie McDowell (the son of Clockwork Orange star Malcolm McDowell) was a hit at Sundance earlier this year. The first trailer for the romantic mystery featuring Mark Duplass (Your Sister’s Sister) and Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men) has been unveiled.

Ethan (Duplass) and Sophie (Moss) are on the brink of separation when, on the advice of their analyst (Ted Danson), they decide to escape to a beautiful vacation house for a weekend getaway to save their marriage.

Surreal events and an unexpected discovery put them on the horns of a dilemma where they must examine themselves, their relationship and their future.

Hollywood Reporter called it “a bump into the reality of Charlie Kaufman and Spike Jonze” and judging by the triply trailer fans of Being John Malkovich and Her won’t be disappointed.

Mark Duplass also appeared in Oscar-nominated thriller Zero Dark Thirty and recently starred in Tammy alongside Melissa Bridesmaids McCarthy. Elisabeth Moss is currently filming the adaption of J G Ballard’s High Rise with British director Ben Wheatley (Kill List).

From the producers behind Safety Not Guaranteed, Jeff, Who Lives At Home and Cyrus; The One I love will be released in the UK next year.
