Season Seven of zombie drama is set for release in October
The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus was caught naked on set during filming for Season Six of the zombie drama.
According to commentary on the opening episode of ‘First Time Again’, executive producer Greg Nicotero reveals that the actor, who plays Daryl Dixon was caught with his pants down, reports Entertainment Weekly.
“Norman, this was the day that you ran up naked,” he says while watching a scene, which is due to feature on The Walking Dead: The Complete Sixth Season due out on Blu-Ray on August 23. Nicotero then explains how an alarm clock cock-up led to the star changing clothes on the run: “Norman’s alarm didn’t go off and we put a [stunt] double in his wardrobe. And Norman refused and got to set, stripped his clothes off on his way to set, and got in the shot before we were ready.”
As previously reported Reedus, was renowned for playing mean pranks on his castmates on set – specifically Andrew Lincoln, the man who plays the show’s main protagonist, Rick Grimes.
Reedus also recently said that in the forthcoming Season Seven, “the world is completely turned upside down,” before adding “it’s a complete change of power.”
He continued: “That group of people have been fighting to have their feet firmly on the ground and have some sort of direction to live in and some sort of code to live by and moral compass, and they thought they were doing it okay, you know?”
“It was hard, and they had to go through things all the time, but they were on a path, and now that path has been ripped from their feet, and things that they believe in are completely different now.”
The zombie drama will be returning to the UK on October 24 after being launched on AMC in the US a day earlier on October 23. Season Six concluded back in April with a cliffhanger ending that saw an unidentified character being beaten by newly introduced character Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
