Alan Sugar says "you're hired" to this year's winning candidate
Joseph Valente has been announced as the winner of The Apprentice.
This year’s series of The Apprentice concluded tonight (December 21) at 9pm on BBC One, with the winner securing. NAME has secured a £250,000 investment from Sir Alan Sugar for his plumbing business.
Valente and Vana Koutsomitis made it through to this year’s final. They competed in the finale with former contestants Charleine Wain, Gary Poulton and Richard Woods all returning.
Speaking to NME about his victory, Valente said: “I think I proved to Lord Sugar that I’m an all-rounder, you know, that I can adapt to any situation. I passed all the tests and I think he can see a lot of potential in me.”
Earlier this week some viewers suggested that Sir Alan Sugar gave away the winner in the show’s penultimate episode.
Wednesday night’s penultimate episode concluded with a preview of this year’s final showing Valente and Koutsomitis anxiously awaiting their fate in the boardroom, followed by a shot of Sugar apparently pointing to the left, where Valente was sitting.
Earlier in the series, candidate Selina Waterman-Smith branded the show “crap” and “shameful” in a Twitter rant.
