Cruise also lip syncs to a Meat Loaf classic during an appearance on Jimmy Fallon's chat show
Tom Cruise showed off his lip syncing skills to The Weeknd‘s ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ on Jimmy Fallon’s US chat show last night (July 17).
“My first song has been on the top of the charts all summer long, it’s the song of the summer,” Cruise told the audience before launching into a lip sync rendition of the popular R&B hit. Cruise also performed a lip sync to Meat Loaf‘s ‘Paradise By The Dashboard Light’, a song which he said reminded him of “hanging out in the parking lot on Friday night” with the girls of New Jersey during his high school years. Cruise’s latest film, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, opens in cinemas this Friday (July 30). His co-stars in the eagerly anticipated action sequel include Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner, Alec Baldwin and up-and-coming Swedish actress Rebecca Ferguson.
During the promotional campaign for Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Cruise has responded to ongoing rumours about a potential sequel to Top Gun. “It’s tricky to figure out. If I can figure it out, if all of us can figure it out, it would be fun to do,” the actor said over the weekend, adding that Top Gun 2 would have to feature “practical” effects and “no CGI on the jets”.
