Film has also been downloaded over 50,000 times in its opening days on sale
The first installment of Twilight: Breaking Dawn has sold over 3.2 million DVDs in its first two days of release.
The film, which grossed over $700 million (£447 million) at the box office during its cinematic release, has been sale since Saturday (February 11) in the US and has always sold over 3.2 million DVDs.
Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 has also been sold over 80,000 times on video on demand services and legally downloaded over 50,000 times, reports the Hollywood Reporter.
The second first installment of Twilight: Breaking Dawn will hit cinemas on November 16, 2012 and is assumed to be the last in the film series.
However, Jon Feltheimer – chief of Lionsgate, the studio responsible for overseeing the films – has previously hinted that the story could still continue even after the release of Breaking Dawn – Part 2.
