Two Door Cinema Club played in front of a rain-soaked crowd at the Isle Of Wight Festival today (June 12), taking the time to praise the punters for not letting the weather dispirit them and talk about their next album.

They played on the last day of the 2011, with acts including Foo Fighters, Wild Beasts, Pulp, Jeff Beck and Kings Of Leon having already played over the weekend at the bash. Kasabian will close the festival later on.

"I feel like the crowd here is more focused on the music," lead singer Alex Trimble told NME. "If there's a festival down the road from you, you can go for fun and get pissed up and not really be interested. You can tell these people are pretty dedicated and are interested in who's playing."

The frontman also talked about how the band have started work on the follow-up to their debut album 'Tourist History'. "The fact that we've spent two years on the road, the things we've seen, the people we've met - it's given a different feel to the music," he said. "The lyrics are definitely very different because the entire first album was mostly written when we were still living at home with our parents and we hadn't really got on the road yet."

He added: "We played at Rockness and Parklife and played some new songs there because we played for longer than at this festival. We've been working quite hard in the breaks we've had from touring and we've written songs, so we've got a couple of new ones we're starting to road test and they seem to be going down pretty well."

Two Door Cinema Club played:

'Cigarettes In The Theatre'
'Undercover Martyn'
'Do You Want It All?'
'Something Good Can Work'
'This Is The Life'
'Costume Party'
'You're Not Stubborn'
'Eat That Up It's Good For You'
'What You Know'
'Come Back Home'
'I Can Talk'
