Two Door Cinema Club have announced plans for a show at Blackpool's Empress Ballroom.

The show will take place on December 12, the day before their headline set at London's O2 Arena, which takes place on December 13. The new show has been announced due to "overwhelming demand". Tickets for the show will go on sale at 9am on October 4.

The band released their 'Changing Of The Seasons' EP earlier this week, which features the B-side 'Golden Veins', which sees lead guitarist Sam Halliday on lead vocals, rather than frontman Alex Trimble. Listen to an EP sampler featuring 'Golden Veins' by scrolling down. It also includes the title track, new song 'Crystal' and the Monsieur Adi remix of 'Changing Of The Seasons'.

Speaking to NME when the band announced their upcoming massive London show, Halliday enthused:

"It doesn't feel real yet; at the moment it feels like a dream. It's testing the water of a new sort of show. I went to see Beyoncé at the O2 recently and that show definitely fits in the O2. Then I think back to that and think of our show at the minute... We want to try and fill the stage a bit more and be confident commanding a crowd rather than just playing the songs."

Two Door Cinema Club will play:

Blackpool Empress Ballroom (December 12)
London The O2 Arena (December 13)
