U2 were last night celebrating after winning a GOLDEN GLOBE for their contribution to MARTIN SCORSESE's 'THE GANGS OF NEW YORK'.
The band triumphed at the award ceremony, held in Beverly Hills, capturing the award for Best Original Song In A Motion Picture with 'The Hands That Built America'.
Meanwhile, U2 are set to be honoured at the The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame And Museum in Cleveland, Ohio, with a forthcoming retrospective.
In The Name Of Love: Two Decades Of U2 will feature over 20 items of clothing worn by the band, dating as far back as 1983's 'War' tour, as well as instruments donated by all four band members. The exhibition will also include 30 pictures taken by world-famous photographer Anton Corbijn.
The retrospective opens on February 8 and is due to run until September 2003.
