BONO is to team up with Italian opera star LUCIANO PAVAROTTI to raise funds for Iraqi refugees.
The U2 frontman is to join Pavarotti on stage in Modena, Italy on May 27 to support the United Nations Refugee Agency.
A statement from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said: "Proceeds from this year's event will go to UNHCR's work on behalf of people affected by the Iraq conflict. Even though very few Iraqis left their country during the first three weeks of the conflict, aid officials warn that it is too early to dismiss the danger of a refugee crisis."
The two superstars worked together in 1995 to raise funds for the child victims of war in Bosnia, recording the song 'Miss Sarajevo' for the "Passengers: Original Soundtracks 1' album.
Pavarotti has dedicated his last three annual Modena charity concerts to help UNHCR aid around 20 million refugees worldwide.
Bono also toured Africa last year with the UN to raise awareness of AIDS prevention.
