U2 expand 2006 tour

More dates added due to demand

U2 have announced more dates in Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne as part of their ongoing 'Veritgo 06' tour.

As previously reported on NME.COM, over 120,000 tickets were sold in just under six hours yesterday (December 5), snapped up by fans desperate to see the band play Australia and New Zealand for the first time since their Popmart tour in 1998.

Tickets for the new shows go on sale on December 12.

The tour now visits:[b]

Auckland Ericsson Stadium (March 17-18)
Brisbane Queensland Sports & Athletics Centre (21)
Melbourne Telstra Dome (24-25)
Adelaide AAMI Stadium (28)
Sydney Telstra Stadium (31-April 1)
