U2 deny London residency claims
Band declare rumoured O2 Arena gigs are bogus

U2 denied that they are playing a London residency next summer.
A ticket website is currently listing that the band as playing 14 nights at the O2 Arena in June 2008.
However, the band have warned fans this is not the case and they should not part with money.
“There are no plans for live dates next year - so please don't buy tickets for any U2 shows you see advertised,” they explained in a statement.

The band are due to release a new studio album in 2008.
