Dan8859 - I do really like the band's music, and when they played Glasgow in 2005 it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. I just wish that Bono would a) focus on music and b) not be a hypocrite about money.

Dan - you have to admit they haven't released a decent album since Achtung, Baby! And Bono's a tosser...

I know... I'm trying to just chill out and enjoy tunes like The Fly but can't shake off the sickening thought that Bono keeps raising Billions of dollars for the world's poorest people. What a tosser! Stick to the music man...

Why is Bono wearing a bowler hat and mascara as part of his latest image...it just looks stupid...

I don't understand why people say they are sell-outs. Did they ever do anything to compromise their own sound to become more popular? No, their sound just happened to appeal to millions and millions of people! Jackpot! And as for being hypocritical about money, it's all relative. It depends what proportion they give away, not actual amounts.

SmokeMyCorgan - my comment about the money was the whole concept of U2 moving business operations so they wouldn't pay tax in their home country of Ireland. That isn't justifiable, but I would like to hear the new album all the same.

Agree with Damiank. Their early work is musical bible. However, the recent vintage is quite poor. Here's to hoping this album rocks and please, no duets with Mary J. Blige on this one!!!
