Open casting calls for U2-penned 'Spider-Man' musical

They'll be held in major US cities starting next week

An open casting call has been announced in the US for the upcoming 'Spider-Man' musical, set to run on New York's famed Broadway.

The music and lyrics for the show are written by Bono and The Edge of U2, and it will be directed Julie Taymor, who previously worked on ’Across The Universe’ and ‘The Lion King’ on Broadway.

According to the show’s website, the casting directors are looking for "performers with dynamic rock/pop voices including those with experience in bands and as solo performers".

Orlando, FL (April 9)
New York, NY (13)
Los Angeles, CA (18)
Seattle, WA (20)
Chicago, IL (May 7)
Austin, TX (27)
