U2's Bono, Courtney Love, Lou Reed, Scarlett Johansson, Rufus Wainwright and Lady GaGa were among the performers who came together to play a New York benefit gig for the (RED)NIGHTS AIDS charity on Sunday (October 4).

The event, at the Carnegie Hall venue, saw Reed collaborate with Laurie Anderson. Wainwright and Johansson collaborated with Fred Armisen while Antony Hegarty, The Pogues' Shane MacGowan, Lydia Lunch and U2 guitarist The Edge also came on stage for mass super-jams, reports Stereogum.
