Noel Gallagher joined U2 onstage at London's O2 Arena on Monday night (October 26) as the band continued their 'Innocence + Experience' tour of the UK.

The former Oasis chief joined the Irish four-piece at the end of their two hour 20 minute show on acoustic guitar and backing vocals for their classic hit single 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' and a cover of The Beatles' 'All You Need Is Love', footage of which you can watch below.

"I'd like to bring out of one my heroes, one of the band's heroes to help us out with this next song. Will you welcome to the stage the high flying bird himself Noel Gallagher," Bono announced to the crowd.

Earlier in the night, Gallagher was spotted speaking to Bob Geldof in the VIP area.

During the show, Bono invited two brothers in the crowd on to the stage and handed them both acoustic guitars to help the band out on 'Angel Of Harlem'.

U2 played a similar set to their opening night with the exception of their debut single 'Out Of Control', 'Desire', 'Angel Of Harlem' and 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For'.

Bono made a number of references to the migration crisis in Europe throughout the show with projections of refugees on the band's giant LED screen during 'Bullet The Blue Sky'.

Ahead of 'Where The Streets Have No Name' the singer also said: "What do you want, a Europe with its heart open or its borders closed to mercy? I know what I want a place called home," before he later added during 'Pride (In The Name Of Love)': "Think of an island close to here where we have peace. Sing for the peacemakers of Ireland and transfer that wherever you want. For me tonight that is Syria."

Earlier in the set, he brought another girl onstage for 'Mysterious Ways' much like the opening night of their UK tour and a male member of the audience on the catwalk for 'City Of Blinding Lights', the latter of which saw the singer swap his jacket with the fan.

'Vertigo'
'I Will Follow'
'Iris (Hold Me Close)'
