BE THERE NOW

NME Premier Shows conclude with first live appearance from Brown since coming out of jail...

BE THERE NOW

Ian Brown made his first live appearance since his release from HMP Strangeways on December 24 last night when he joined UNKLE onstage at the London WC1 Astoria for a performance of 'Be There', the new single.

Brown, wearing a white coat, black combat trousers and looking lean and fit after his prison ordeal, sang the song and left without comment.

He did not attend the after-show party and security around him backstage was tight.

UNKLE's set closed a week of NME Premier Shows at the Astoria and concluded their 12 date tour with IDLEWILD, DELAKOTA and LLAMA FARMERS.
