V Festival tickets sell out

Tickets for this year’s V Festival have completely sold out.

Fans snapped up all 150,000 tickets for the two day bash within hours of going on sale yesterday morning (March 1).

V Festival directors, Bob Angus and Simon Moran issued a statement saying: “We are absolutely overwhelmed that we have sold over 150,000 tickets this quickly! It really is testament to the fantastic line-up - to have eight of the top nine artists in the current album chart, with exception of Take That – who will no doubt have their moment today when their tour tickets go on sale!”

This year's event, at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire, will take place over the weekend of August 18-19.

The line-up so far is:

The Killers
Foo Fighters
