The Cribs' singer loses his shoes at V Festival

Chaotic Chelmsford set sees Ryan Jarman's footwear going missing

The Cribs played their second V Festival show of the weekend today (August 19) in Chelmsford, and ended the show with singer Ryan Jarman losing his shoes diving into the crowd frenzy.

After mocking James Morrison, as they did yesterday at the Stafford leg of the V Festival, the band played a hectic half-hour set which was punctuated with a series of beer cans being thrown among the audience.

At one point a fan attempted to throw a full pint cup of beer, but as he raised his arm he spilled the entire pint over his own head, prompting mass laughter from surrounding fans.

At the climax of the set, as his band-mates finished playing 'The Wrong Way To Be', Ryan Jarman peeled his shirt off and dived head first into the crowd.

Security guards battled to drag him back from the fan mobbing, and he emerged back on the stage soon afterwards – minus his shoes and socks, which had been lost in the crowd melee.
