V Festival weather forecast – four days to go

The V Festival kicks off on Saturday (August 17) in Chelmsford and Staffordshire – and weather forecast service Metcheck.com has cast its verdict on whether it'll be rain or shine on both sites.

The service predicts an almost completely dry day on Saturday at Chelmsford, with moderately cloudy weather and temperatures peaking at 18 degrees Celsius.

Sunday (August 18) should be fairly dry on the Essex site too, although some showers are forecast for the mid-afternoon. However, things should dry up by early evening and temperatures should peak at 18 degrees Celsius again.

At the Staffordshire site the site should remain dry until around 7pm (BST) in the evening, when light rain is predicted. Temperatures are predicted to peak at 16 degrees Celsius.

Sunday on the Staffordshire site should be wetter. Showers are predicted throughout the day until around 7pm, with temperatures again peaking at 16 degrees Celsius. The evening should be fairly dry.
