There are three more days to go until the V Festival kicks off (August 22-23) – and the weather forecasts are starting to come in.

The Chelmsford site on Saturday is expected to be completely rain free – with weather prediction service Metcheck estimating that the sun will shine all afternoon, while BBC Weather predicts a bit of cloud. Temperatures should peak at around 22-23 degrees Celsius.

On Sunday Chelmsford is expected to be similarly dry, with Metcheck predicting only a fraction of rainfall throughout the entire day and evening. It should be cloudier than the previous day, with temperatures peaking at 24 degrees Celsius.

It looks like it will be dry up in Stafford too on Saturday - Metcheck predicts no rain and slightly cloudy skies, as does BBC Weather. Temperatures should peak at 20 degrees Celsius.

On Sunday in Stafford light showers are expected in the morning, with a chance of drizzle in the afternoon, getting heavier at around 10pm (BST), according to Metcheck. BBC Weather suggests sunnier conditions, with temperatures peaking at 20 degrees Celsius.

NME.COM will be covering this year's festival live from both V Festival sites over the weekend (August 22-23), so tune in for the latest news, setlists, video interviews, blogs and picture galleries.

Among the acts performing are headliners Oasis and The Killers, as well as Lily Allen, Snow Patrol, Elbow and MGMT.
