Coachella Festival 2008: NME.COM brings you complete coverage
The Verve, Raconteurs, Vampire Weekend kick off Day One
Thousands of fans are heading to the California desert today (April 25) for Day One of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Kicking off the proceedings are Coachella main stage headliners The Verve, The Raconteurs and Jack Johnson, who will be preceded by The Breeders earlier in the day.
Meanwhile, the Outdoor Theatre will see performances by Les Savy Fav, Vampire Weekend and Serj Tankian, while Goldfrapp and the Black Lips are set for the Mojave Tent.
Battles, Santogold and Datarock will round out the day with dance-inducing sets in the Gobi tent.
