Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij has scored his first film.

The multi-instrumentalist has contributed music to Sound Of My Voice, which is his brother Zal's debut feature film.

Starring newcomers Brit Marling and Christopher Denham, the premise of the film focuses on a couple who join a Californian cult. As well as directing, Zal served as co-screenwriter on the project.

Sound Of My Voice is due to debut at the Sundance Film Festival later this month. There is currently no word on whether the soundtrack will get a standalone release alongside the film.
