The promo was directed by Greg Brunkalla and shows different people shaking bottles of champagne and culminates in the band getting soaked. 'Ya Hey' will appear on the band's forthcoming new album, 'Modern Vampires of the City'.

Vampire Weekend's frontman Ezra Koenig recently opened up about considering quitting music. The band’s third album 'Modern Vampires Of The City' is due for release on May 13 via XL but the singer has said he contemplated getting a proper job before work on the record commenced.

"I still loved music but I had this weird feeling," he told NME. "I met a lot of people who worked in movies and TV and I thought, 'Well, if I just started out as a writer’s assistant, I could start a new job at the very bottom'." He added: "But when I say I daydream about going to law school or becoming a freedom fighter instead, it’s not because I’m brave or restless."

Earlier this week (April 30) Vampire Weekend revealed new songs 'Everlasting Arms' and 'Obvious Bicycle' during a live gig in New York.
