Eddie Van Halen 'not in rehab'
Ex-wife suggests the rocker is elsewhere
Eddie Van Halen's ex-wife, actress Valerie Bertinelli, has denied claims that her ex-husband is in rehab.
As previously reported on NME.COM Van Halen had been forced to cancel US dates to "undergo a battery of comprehensive medical tests" in order to diagnose a mystery illness.
The rocker, who has long battled against alcohol addiction, then issued a statement to fans apologising for his absence, saying: "I have decided to enter a rehabilitation facility to work on myself, so that in the future I can deliver the 110% that I feel I owe you and want to give you."
However, according to American website People.com, Valerie Bertinelli said: "The reports about him being in rehab are wrong. Eddie is sober."
Van Halen's current US tour is now due to resume on April 19.
