Van Morrison has denied that he has had a new baby – saying that a report on his official website suggesting he had was the result of a hacking.

On Tuesday (December 29) a report on gave the news that Morrison had become a father again at the age of 64, naming the baby, which the story claimed he had with a woman named Gigi Lee, George Ivan Morrison III. However, he has since said that the message was a hoax, reports BBC News.

"The comments which appeared on my website did not come from me," he said, describing the baby news as "completely and utterly without foundation."

He added that he was "very happily married to Michelle Morrison, with whom I have two wonderful children."

Morrison said that the incident marked the second time his site has been hacked in the last three months, and that his management team were investigating.
