Five men taken in for killing of South African reggae star
Police in South Africa have arrested five men on suspicion of the murder of reggae star Lucky Dube.
As previously reported, the singer was shot on Thursday evening in an apparent carjacking in the Johannesburg suburb of Rosettenville.
The five men, arrested east of Johannesburg on Sunday (21 October), are aged between 31 and 35 and are thought to be predominately Mozambican.
Superintendent Eugene Opperman told Reuters: “They will be appearing at the magistrate court to face various charges which will be specified later.”
