Tabloid Hell: Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz banned from Simpsons' Christmas?

The bassist says he's welcome after all

Following rumours that Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz had been banned from his girlfriend Ashlee Simpson's Chistmas dinner, he decided to set the record straight.

Word had it that Simpson's father, Joe, was furious after reading a magazine interview in which Wentz said that he had kissed men, and therefore forbade him from showing up on Christmas.

Wentz set the record straight with an email to MTV, in which he wrote: "I think Joe gets a really bad rap in the press. He's always been nothing but nice to me. He even called me to let me know he expects me to show up for Xmas. So there's no truth to that (rumour)."

So there you have it--Wentz may partake in the Simpson family Christmas after all. What a relief.
