Veteran Atlantic Records producer dies
Music industry stalwart Joel Dorn passes away
Producer Joel Dorn has died of a heart attack in New York aged 65, reports BBC News.
The music industry veteran has worked with artists including Bette Midler and Roberta Flack, producing the latter's classic songs ’The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ and ’Killing Me Softly With His Song’.
Dorn who worked at Atlantic Records between 1967 and 1974, worked with a number of the label’s jazz artists along with acts including the Allman Brothers Band and Don McLean.
