Guitarist leaps to her defense in blog
Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman has come to the defense of Ashlee Simpson after a newpaper called her “poisonous”.
Trohman responded in a blog to a gossip item in the New York Daily News that said that the band blamed Simpson for their lack of Grammy Nominations, saying “We also don't blame a certain someone for our lack of a Grammy nod. That's absolutely fucking absurd”.
He continued “This "poisonous" person that was mentioned is nothing short of awesome, and we fully back her.”
Simpson is the girlfriend of bassist Pete Wentz, and is a singer. She famously ran offstage at Saturday Night Live after a lip-synching debacle in which the wrong song was played.
