'X Factor' reject Rhydian gets record deal

'X Factor' runner-up Rhydian Roberts has signed a record deal.

The 24-year-old Welshman, who had been favourite to win the reality TV show but was beaten in the final by Leon Jackson, has inked a contract with Sony BMG, BBC News reports.

The label has the rights to sign artists from the show and also has this year’s winner Jackson and former victors Leona Lewis (pictured) and Shayne Ward on its roster.

Contestants from the last 'X Factor' are now set to hit the road for a 25-date tour, which begins on February 11.
