Manchester Utd's Rio Ferdinand plans TV 'Hip-Hop Idol'
The defender wants to get Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson as judges
Manchester United footballer Rio Ferdinand has been brainstorming with a television company about producing a hip-hop reality TV show which would see celebrities cover hip-hop classics in front of a judging panel, raising money for anti-gun crime charities.
Ferdinand has stated his wish to sign up Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson as judges for the show, and has reportedly already signed up a slew of famous faces to compete.
According to The Guardian, celebrities set to appear include comedian Jimmy Carr, model Naomi Campbell, BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles, reality TV star and authoress Jordan, actor Shane Richie and Coleen McLoughlin, wife of Ferdinand’s Manchester United team-mate, Wayne Rooney.
No details of when or on what channel the show may broadcast on have been made available.
