Rock Band video game to feature full albums

The hugely-successful Rock Band video game is taking its cover band concept to the next level with the news that players can now buy full albums to play through the game.

The game, which was created by MTV, will now feature entire albums from the likes of the Pixies ‘Doolittle’ and The Cars self-titled debut. The first album to be made available will be metallers Judas Priest classic ‘Screaming For Vengeance’.

Launched in November 2007, Rock Band facilitates gamers to play drums, guitars or sing vocals in ‘full-band’ karaoke style.

Tracks on the original game range from The Strokes ‘Reptilia’ to Yeah Yeah Yeahs ‘Maps’.
