Jonathan Davis, Hellyeah also play one-day show in Dallas

Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne and Hellyeah have been announced to play the one-day Ozzfest this summer in Dallas.

System Of A Down’s Serj Tankian and Korn’s Jonathan Davis are also on the bill for the event which will take place in the city’s Pizza Hut Park on August 9.

Cavalera Conspiracy, Shadows Fall, Apocalyptica and In This Moment complete the main stage line-up, and there will be an all-star tribute to Pantera guitarist, the late ‘Dimebag’ Darrell Abbott on the day.

Sevendust, DevilDriver, Kingdom of Sorrow, Soilent Green, Witchcraft and Goatwhore play the second stage while a third stage will feature local Texan acts The Sword, Drowning Pool and Rigor Mortis.

Tickets for the event will go on sale May 31.

Why would the Canadian gig be a "Monsters of Rock" instead of an "Ozzfest", and or vice versa? If "Ozzfest" which has always been a touring thing isn't "touring", why not just call the Dallas gig a "Monsters of Rock"? They could have announced it months ago, instead of leaving people hanging.
